Explication
NOTE
〜ものなら signifie if (someone) were to even try to V (si on venait à essayer de) — une conséquence grave est sous-entendue.
父に逆らおうものなら、大変なことになる。
Si on venait à tenir tête à mon père, ce serait grave.
Utilise la forme volitive (逆らおう) + ものなら pour suggérer une tentative audacieuse.
NOTE
La proposition de résultat exprime un résultat négatif, dramatique ou redouté qui suivrait la tentative.
NOTE
Attachez ものなら à la volitional form (forme volitive) du verbe (行こう → 行こうものなら).
STRUCTURE

ものなら先生に嘘をつこうものなら、ひどく叱られる。
Sensei ni uso o tsukou mono nara, hidoku shikarareru.
Si on venait à mentir au professeur, on se ferait sévèrement gronder.
授業中に居眠りしようものなら、すぐに注意される。
Jugyou-chuu ni inemuri shiyou mono nara, sugu ni chuui sareru.
Si on venait à s'assoupir en cours, on serait immédiatement réprimandé.
母の悪口を言おうものなら、父は本気で怒る。
Haha no waruguchi o iou mono nara, chichi wa honki de okoru.
Si on venait à dire du mal de ma mère, mon père se mettrait vraiment en colère.
