Explication
NOTE

〜とも signifie even if (même si) ou no matter (peu importe) — un équivalent formel et écrit de 〜ても.

何なにが起おころうとも、私わたしは諦あきらめない。
Peu importe ce qui arrive, je n'abandonnerai pas.
Souvent utilisé avec 何, 誰, どんな pour signifier *peu importe ~*.
NOTE

C'est formel et on le trouve souvent à l'écrit, dans les discours ou les résolutions personnelles fortes.

NOTE

Avec les verbs (verbes), utilisez la forme volitive + とも (行こう → 行こうとも).

Peu importe combien de temps cela prend, je le terminerai à coup sûr.
何なにを言いわれようとも、気きにしない。
Nani o iwareyou tomo, ki ni shinai.
Peu importe ce qu'on me dit, je m'en moque.
NOTE

Avec les i-adjectives (adjectifs en い), remplacez い par くとも (高い → 高くとも; 少ない → 少なくとも).
