Explanation
NOTE
それ means that and refers to something near the listener, or something just mentioned in conversation. It is a standalone pronoun — it replaces the noun entirely.
NOTE
それ belongs to the こ・そ・あ・ど system: これ (this, near me), それ (that, near you), あれ (that over there), どれ (which one). Use それ when the object is closer to the person you are talking to.
