する・動詞・た形
suru verb (past casual)
Explanation
NOTE

The する verb (to do) is irregular. Its casual past tense form is した. This is a unique conjugation you need to memorize.

NOTE

Many nouns combine with する to form compound verbs, like べんきょうする (to study) and りょうりする (to cook). They all follow the same pattern: the noun stays the same, and する becomes した.
