る・動詞・ます形
ru-verbs masu form
Explanation
NOTE

The ます form is the polite present/future tense in Japanese. You will use it when speaking to people you do not know well, in formal situations, or whenever you want to sound respectful.

NOTE

For る-verbs, making the ます form is simple: drop the final and add ます. For example, たべる becomes たべます.
