NOTE

The particle まで marks an ending point — it means to or until when talking about places, times, or limits.

NOTE

You often see まで paired with から to express a range. By itself, まで emphasizes the destination or deadline.

Eki made aruita.
I walked to the station.
五ご時じまで働はたらきます。
Goji made hatarakimasu.
I work until five o'clock.
学校がっこうまで走はしった。
Gakkō made hashitta.
