〜に行く
to go to do ~
Explanation
NOTE
You can express going somewhere to do something by using the ます stem of a verb followed by に行く. The に indicates the purpose of going.
STRUCTURE
Vます
に<ruby>行<rt>い</rt></ruby>く映画を見に行く。
Eiga o mi ni iku.
I go to see a movie.
ラーメンを食べに行く。
Rāmen o tabe ni iku.
I go to eat ramen.
友達に会いに行く。
Tomodachi ni ai ni iku.
I go to meet a friend.
