The particle *って* is the **casual** version of *と* for quotation. You use it in everyday conversation to quote what someone said or to express what you think or heard.

In very **casual** speech, the `verb` after *って* (like *言う*) can even be dropped entirely. Just ending with *って* implies someone said it.
