Explanation
NOTE

can be used between two clauses to mean but. Unlike でも, which starts a new sentence, connects two clauses within the same sentence. It is slightly more formal than でも.

NOTE

The pattern is Sentence A が、Sentence B. The first clause states one thing, and the second clause contrasts it. This is commonly used with ます form in polite speech.
