Explanation
NOTE

あちら is the polite way to say over there. It refers to a direction or area far from both the speaker and the listener. It is the polite equivalent of あそこ and あれ.

NOTE

あちら is commonly used in formal situations like giving directions in a hotel, airport, or office. You will hear it very often in customer service.
