Explanation
NOTE
The pattern 〜ように〜てほしい combines a goal with a request. It means I want you to do ~ so that ~. The ように part describes the desired outcome.
NOTE
The verb before ように is in dictionary form (for potential or intransitive verbs). The verb before ほしい is in て-form and describes the action you want someone to take.
STRUCTURE

分かるように説明してほしい。
Wakaru yō ni setsumei shite hoshii.
I want you to explain it so that I can understand.
