〜はじめる
to start to ~
Explanation
NOTE

The suffix はじめる attaches to the verb stem to mean to start doing something. It describes a deliberate or conscious beginning of an action.

NOTE

Since はじめる is itself a verb, the combined form conjugates as a ru-verb. Compare with だす, which implies a more sudden start.
