NOTE
たところだ attaches to the た-form of a verb and means have just finished doing ~. It describes the moment right after an action has been completed.
NOTE
Compared to たばかり, たところだ is more precise — it focuses on the exact moment the action just ended. The action literally just happened seconds ago.
