Explanation
NOTE

The verb 見える means to be visible — something can be seen naturally, without effort. It describes things that come into your field of vision on their own.

NOTE

Compare with 見る (to look / to watch actively). With 見える, the thing seen is the subject and takes . You are not choosing to look — the thing is simply visible to you.

STRUCTURE

ほしえる
Hoshi ga mieru.
I can see the stars.
まどからやまえる
Mado kara yama ga mieru.
I can see the mountain from the window.
ここからうみえる
Koko kara umi ga mieru.
I can see the ocean from here.
