どんどん means progressively, rapidly, or one after another. It describes change that happens quickly and continuously, with a sense of momentum.
NOTE
Compare with だんだん (gradually): だんだん is slow change, while どんどん is fast, energetic change. どんどん often carries a feeling of unstoppable progress.
