Explanation
NOTE
と思う means I think when used with the plain form of a verb or sentence. It expresses an opinion or belief about something.
NOTE
Unlike ようと<ruby>思<rt>おも</rt></ruby>う, which expresses intention, this pattern states what you believe to be true. You can use it with verbs, adjectives, and nouns in their plain form.
