Explanation
NOTE

The particle で marks the place where an action happens. It answers the question: where do you do something?

NOTE

Use で with action verbs — eating, studying, playing, etc. For simply being or existing at a place, you would use に instead.

Gakkō de benkyō suru.
I study at school.
公園こうえんで遊あそぶ。
Kōen de asobu.
I play at the park.
家いえで食たべる。
Ie de taberu.
I eat at home.
Example sentences
