〜ていく
to start
to continue, to go on
Explanation
NOTE

ていく attaches to the て-form of a verb and describes a change that continues into the future from now. It can also mean to do something and then go.

NOTE

Think of いく as movement away from the present moment — things will keep changing going forward, or you do an action before heading out.
