Explanation
NOTE
The volitional form of u-verbs is used to say let's do something. It is formed by changing the final u sound to its corresponding ou sound.
NOTE
For example: 書く becomes 書こう, 読む becomes 読もう, 話す becomes 話そう, and 行く becomes 行こう.
STRUCTURE
V意(u-verb: く→こう, む→もう, す→そう, etc.)
一緒に行こう。
Issho ni ikou.
Let's go together.
この本を読もう。
Kono hon wo yomou.
Let's read this book.
日本語で話そう。
Nihongo de hanasou.
Let's speak in Japanese.
