NOTE

Use 遂に (ついに) to express that something has finally happened after a long wait or a long process. It carries a sense of arrival at a long-anticipated result.

NOTE

This word is often used to describe events that the speaker has been looking forward to or struggling toward, and it often appears with past tense verbs.
