Explanation
NOTE

余りあまりの〜に means "so much X that Y" — an excess of X leads to an unexpected or unwanted result.

余りあまりうれしさなみだた。
I was so happy that tears came out.
The structure 'Noun + no + amari + ni' expresses that the intensity of a feeling or state causes a certain outcome.

Amari no odoroki ni, koe ga denakatta.
