Explanation
NOTE

〜一方だ describes a trend that keeps moving in one direction — always increasing, worsening, or improving.

物価ぶっかがる一方だ
Prices keep going up.
This grammar expresses a continuous, unchanging trend in one direction, often with a negative nuance.
NOTE

It attaches to the dictionary form of a verb. It cannot be used for temporary or reversible changes.
