Explanation
NOTE
〜せいで / 〜せいだ blames something for a negative outcome — "because of" (someone's/something's fault).
風のせいで電車が遅れた。
Because of the wind, the train was delayed.
Use this grammar point to explain a negative result or an unfortunate situation caused by something.
NOTE
Contrast: 〜おかげで (positive) vs. 〜せいで (negative). せいで precedes the result; せいだ ends the sentence attributing blame.
