Explanation
NOTE
〜反面・〜半面 means on the other hand — while one aspect of something is true, there is another contrasting aspect. Both sides belong to the same subject.
仕事は楽しい反面、責任が重い。
Work is fun, but on the other hand, the responsibility is heavy.
Use this structure to express two contrasting aspects of the same subject.
NOTE
Use 反面 or 半面 (interchangeable) after a plain-form verb, i-adjective, or noun to present contrasting qualities of the same thing.
STRUCTURE

反面都会に住む反面、自然が少ない。
Tokai ni sumu hanmen, shizen ga sukunai.
Living in the city is convenient, but on the other hand, there is little nature.
彼女は明るくて人気がある反面、孤独を感じることがある。
Kanojo wa akarukute ninki ga aru hanmen, kodoku o kanjiru koto ga aru.
She is cheerful and popular, but on the other hand, she sometimes feels lonely.
留学は成長できる反面、寂しくなることもある。
Ryuugaku wa seichou dekiru hanmen, sabishiku naru koto mo aru.
Studying abroad allows you to grow, but on the other hand, you can also get lonely.
