Explanation
NOTE
〜ことなの is a casual explanatory expression meaning it is the case that or it means that. It combines こと (nominalizer) with the explanatory の.
Used in spoken, casual Japanese to explain or emphasize the nature of a situation. In more formal contexts, 〜ということです is used instead.
彼が怒っているのは、本気だということなの。
The fact that he is angry means he is serious.
This construction is used to explain a reason or provide a definitive clarification for a preceding statement.
