NOTE

まるで〜ようだ is used for dramatic or vivid comparisons — "it is exactly as if / just like."

まるでゆめているようだ
It is entirely as if I am dreaming.
まるで + ようだ creates a vivid, dramatic comparison.
NOTE

まるで (entirely, exactly) intensifies the comparison of ようだ. Often used for imaginative or literary descriptions.
