Explanation
NOTE
〜ほど② expresses a proportional increase — "the more you do X, the more Y." Both halves increase together.
考えれば考えるほど、分からなくなる。
The more I think about it, the less I understand.
This pattern 'Verb-conditional + Verb-dictionary + hodo' expresses a correlation where one action increases as another progresses.
NOTE
The ば-conditional of the verb is followed by the same verb in dictionary form, then ほど.
STRUCTURE

練習すれば練習するほど、上手になる。
Renshuu sureba renshuu suru hodo, jouzu ni naru.
The more you practice, the better you get.
食べれば食べるほど、お腹が空く気がする。
Tabereba taberu hodo, onaka ga suku ki ga suru.
