NOTE

ちゃんと is a casual adverb meaning properly or correctly. It carries the nuance that something was done in the expected, thorough way — without cutting corners.

ちゃんと宿題しゅくだいをやりましたか。
Did you properly do your homework?
Used here to mean doing something thoroughly or as expected.
NOTE

ちゃんと can be used to confirm something was handled correctly, or to urge someone to do better. It is more informal than きちんと, which carries a similar meaning.
