Explanation
NOTE
〜次第だ means it depends on X — the outcome is determined by the preceding noun.
成功するかどうかは、あなたの努力次第だ。
Whether you succeed depends on your effort.
次第だ comes at the end and points back to the noun that decides the result.
NOTE
Use it when you want to say the result is completely decided by a single factor — person, condition, or thing.
NOTE
It attaches directly to a noun — no particle in between. The clause it answers usually ends in かどうかは or は.
