GRAMMAR
〜を通じて
through
Explanation
NOTE
〜を通じて means through or throughout — expressing a means, medium, or period by which something happens.
友人を通じて、彼女と知り合った。
I got to know her through a friend.
Often used with intermediaries (people, organizations) or media (Internet, TV) as the means.
NOTE
When the noun is a time span (一年, 一生, 四季), it means throughout — indicating that the action continues without interruption over that entire period.
NOTE
Very close to 〜を通して, but 〜を通じて sounds more formal and abstract, common in news, reports, and written Japanese.
