Explanation
NOTE
〜より仕方がない means have no choice but to V — used when circumstances leave no other option but to do the action.
電車が止まったので、歩くより仕方がない。
Since the train stopped, I have no choice but to walk.
Attaches to the verb in its dictionary form: <ruby>歩<rt>ある</rt></ruby>く + より仕方がない.
NOTE
The tone is somewhat resigned — the speaker accepts the only available action, even if it's not their preferred one.
NOTE
To form it, attach より仕方がない directly to the dictionary form of a verb (待つ → 待つより仕方がない).
