NOTE

〜の下もとで means under — used to describe acting under someone's guidance or specific conditions.

有名ゆうめいな先生せんせいの下もとで勉強べんきょうしている。
I'm studying under a famous teacher.
Read 下 as もと (NOT した) in this grammar pattern.

Commonly used with people (teachers, supervisors) or conditions (laws, rules, environments).

NOTE

Attaches directly to a noun with の. The で marks the conditions or setting of an action.
