〜のも当然だ
no wonder
Explanation
NOTE
〜のも当然だ means no wonder X or it's only natural that X — used to say a result is completely expected given the circumstances.
あんなに勉強したのだから、合格するのも当然だ。
Since he studied that much, it's only natural that he passes.
The speaker presents the result as a logical, unsurprising consequence of a prior cause.
NOTE
The earlier clause usually gives a reason (with から, ので, or just context), and 〜のも当然だ confirms the result was bound to happen.
NOTE
Attach 〜のも当然だ to the plain form of a verb (食べる → 食べるのも当然だ, 怒る → 怒るのも当然だ).
