NOTE
〜に際して means on the occasion of or at the time of — used for formal, special events.
入学に際して、校長が挨拶をした。
On the occasion of the school entrance, the principal gave a speech.
Often used for ceremonies, beginnings, or other formal events.
NOTE
It marks a special moment when something is done, typically tied to important transitions or ceremonies.
NOTE
Attach to a noun directly: 出発 → 出発に際して. Common with 入学, 結婚, 出発, 開始.
