Explanation
NOTE
〜に付け means whenever or every time — a stimulus that naturally triggers a feeling or thought.
この歌を聞くに付け、故郷を思い出す。
Whenever I hear this song, I remember my hometown.
The result is a **natural, involuntary** emotional reaction — not a deliberate action.
NOTE
The second clause usually expresses an emotion, memory, or thought (思う, 感じる, 思い出す) — not a planned action.
NOTE
With verbs, attach に付け directly to the dictionary form (見る → 見るに付け).
