〜だけあって means as expected from or fittingly — it praises a result that matches the subject's status, reputation, or effort.
彼は元プロだけあって、動きが違う。
As expected from a former pro, his movements are different.
The second clause is a **positive evaluation** that fits the first clause's reputation or status.
NOTE
The cause clause typically names a reputation, role, training, or effort; the result clause praises something that lives up to it.
NOTE
With nouns, attach だけあって directly to the dictionary form (先生 → 先生だけあって).
