Explanation
NOTE

〜げのない means showing no sign of X — the negative form of 〜げ.

自信じしんげのない声こえで答こたえた。
He answered in a voice without any sign of confidence.
Often modifies a noun like 声 (voice), 顔 (face), or 表情 (expression).
NOTE

It describes someone who outwardly shows no trace of a feeling or trait — used to modify nouns.

NOTE

With i-adjectives, drop い and attach げのない (寂しい → 寂しげのない).

Kanojo wa sabishigenonai kao de waratta.

Kare wa kanashigenonai hyoujou wo miseta.
He showed an expression without any trace of sadness.
苦くるしげのない様子ようすで、最後さいごまで走はしり切きった。
Kurushigenonai yousu de, saigo made hashirikitta.
Without looking pained, he ran all the way to the end.
NOTE

With certain nouns (especially traits like 自信, 大人), attach げのない directly (自信 → 自信げのない).

Fuan genonai egao de, kare wa butai ni tatta.
