NOTE
〜（よ）うではないか means let's V together — a formal, literary rhetorical exhortation.

The casual spoken variant is 〜（よ）うじゃないか, common in conversation among men.
NOTE
Attach to the verb volitional form: 食べる → 食べようではないか, 行く → 行こうではないか.
