Explanation
NOTE
〜からいうと / 〜からすると means from the standpoint of — viewing something from a particular perspective.
親の立場からいうと、心配でたまらない。
From the standpoint of a parent, I can't help but worry.
Often attaches to a person, role, or position to express their viewpoint.
NOTE
Sense ① focuses on whose perspective is being adopted — a person, role, or evidence used to judge from.
NOTE
Both attach to nouns: 〜からいうと (also 〜からいえば) and 〜からすると (also 〜からすれば) are largely interchangeable.
STRUCTURE

からいうと親からいうと、子供には健康でいて欲しいです。
Oya kara iu to, kodomo ni wa kenkou de ite hoshii desu.
From the parent's point of view, I want my children to be healthy.
学生の立場からいうと、この試験はとても難しいです。
Gakusei no tachiba kara iu to, kono shiken wa totemo muzukashii desu.
From the student's point of view, this exam is very difficult.
経済面からいうと、新しい車を買うのはまだ早いです。
Keizai-men kara iu to, atarashii kuruma o kau no wa mada hayai desu.
From an economic point of view, buying a new car is still too early.
先生からいうと、この答えは間違っている。
Sensei kara iu to, kono kotae wa machigatte iru.
From the teacher's standpoint, this answer is wrong.
私の経験からいうと、この方法が一番早い。
Watashi no keiken kara iu to, kono houhou ga ichiban hayai.
Speaking from my experience, this method is the fastest.
会社の方針からいうと、残業は減らすべきだ。
Kaisha no houshin kara iu to, zangyou wa herasu beki da.
From the standpoint of the company's policy, overtime should be reduced.
NOTE
〜からすると often emphasizes judging from evidence or appearance — slightly more focused on inference than 〜からいうと.

Kono an kara suruto, yosan ga tarinakunarisou desu.
From the perspective of this plan, it looks like we will run out of budget.
親の立場からすると、子供には健康でいてほしいです。
Oya no tachiba kara suruto, kodomo ni wa kenkou de ite hoshii desu.
From the point of view of a parent, I want my children to be healthy.
専門家の意見からすると、この問題はすぐには解決できません。
Senmonka no iken kara suruto, kono mondai wa sugu ni wa kaiketsu dekimasen.
From the expert's point of view, this problem cannot be solved immediately.
顔色からすると、体調が悪そうだ。
Kaoiro kara suru to, taichou ga warusou da.
Judging from your complexion, you don't seem well.
学生からすると、試験は少ないほうがいい。
Gakusei kara suru to, shiken wa sukunai hou ga ii.
From a student's standpoint, fewer exams are better.
あの口ぶりからすると、彼は知っているようだ。
Ano kuchiburi kara suru to, kare wa shitte iru you da.
Judging from his tone, he seems to know.
