Explanation

NOTE

お〜願ねがいます means please could you — a very polite formal request.

少々しょうしょうお待まち願います。

Please wait a moment.

Common in business and public announcements.

NOTE

It's more formal than お〜ください, often used in announcements, stations, and business settings.

NOTE

Attach お before the verb stem (ます-form minus ます), then add 願います at the end.

NOTE

For suru-verbs, attach ご (instead of お) before the noun stem, then add 願います.
