NOTE

〜相まって means coupled with — two factors combine to produce a stronger result.

努力どりょくが才能さいのうと相あいまって、大おおきな成果せいかを生うんだ。
His effort, coupled with his talent, produced great results.
NOTE

It is formal and written. The result is usually emphasized as remarkable or intensified.

円安えんやすが好天こうてんと相あいまって、観光客かんこうきゃくが急増きゅうぞうした。
The weak yen, combined with good weather, sharply increased tourists.
Both factors work together to produce the intensified outcome.
NOTE

Attach と相まって to a noun. The pattern AはBと相まって links the two factors A and B.
