NOTE

〜べからず means must not or should not — a strong, formal prohibition.

ここにごみを捨すてるべからず。
You must not throw away trash here.
NOTE

It is old and literary, seen on signs, rules, and proverbs. It ends a sentence like a command.

初心しょしん忘わするべからず。
You must not forget your original intention.
A famous proverb advising people never to lose their beginner's spirit.
NOTE

Attach べからず to a verb in dictionary form. With する you may use either するべからず or すべからず.

NOTE

〜べからざる is the pre-noun form — it directly modifies a noun to mean that must not be done.

それは許ゆるすべからざる行為こういだ。
That is an unforgivable act.
NOTE

Attach べからざる to a verb in dictionary form, then place a noun right after it.
