NOTE
どうにか means somehow — an action is achieved with effort or difficulty, despite the odds.
終電にどうにか間に合った。
I somehow made it in time for the last train.
NOTE
It carries a feeling of relief — the result was not certain, but it worked out in the end.
難しい試験にどうにか合格した。
I somehow managed to pass the difficult exam.
どうにか often pairs with verbs of success, conveying a narrow or hard-won outcome.
NOTE
どうにか is an adverb. Place it before the verb it modifies, usually right before the action.
