NOTE

〜というところだ means about / around / at most — it gives an approximate amount, with a slightly limiting nuance.

駅えきまで歩あるいて十分じゅっぷんというところだ。
It is about ten minutes at most on foot to the station.
NOTE

It suggests the number is the upper limit — no more than that. The tone is casual and conversational.

今月こんげつの売上うりあげは百万円ひゃくまんえんというところだ。
This month's sales are around one million yen at most.
Often used to downplay or modestly estimate an amount.
NOTE

Attach というところだ directly after a noun, usually a number or quantity expression.
