Explanation
NOTE
〜ものと思う means to think that or to believe that — it states an assumption you hold to be true.
会議は中止になったものと思う。
I believe that the meeting was cancelled.
NOTE
It is formal and sounds firmer than a plain 〜と思う, expressing a confident, settled judgment.
皆が賛成しているものと思う。
I think that everyone is in agreement.
The clause before ものと describes the situation you assume to be the case.
NOTE
Attach ものと思う to a verb in plain form, the form that states the situation you assume.
