Explanation
NOTE
〜なくして（は）means without — without the first thing, the second cannot happen.
努力なくして成功はない。
Without effort, there is no success.
NOTE
It is formal and literary. The second clause is usually negative or expresses impossibility.
皆さんの支援なくしては、この計画は実現できなかった。
Without everyone's support, this plan could not have been realized.
Adding は after なくして emphasizes the condition more strongly.
NOTE
Attach なくして（は） directly to a noun. The は is optional and adds emphasis.
